Outreach Services

Boogie Along Farm & Rescue, LLC offers a variety of Outreach Services. Below is a list of services we offer, if you do not see what you are looking for please contact us and we will see if we can add it to our list of services.

  1. BAFR is not a licensed Therapeutic farm, therefore we do not offer therapeutic riding or accept medical insurance payments.

    We do offer meet & greets with the horses for those needing a little bit of nature’s therapeutic benefits. We believe there is something about a horse that is good for the soul and brings peace of mind to anyone who is down, making a horse very therapeutic. We are happy to let you come out to feed and pet the horses.

  2. BAFR is happy to allow photographers to bring their clients out to the farm for a photo shoot. We can even supply a horse to take photos with.

  3. BAFR works with our local First Responders on how to properly approach, handle, and halter an at large Equine/Donkey.

Educational Services

Boogie Along Farm & Rescue, LLC offers a variety of Educational Services. Below is a list of services we offer, if you do not see what you are looking for please contact us and we will see if we can add it to our list of services.

  1. Equine Handling & Safety Demonstration

    In this course you will learn how to safely approach an equine, how to safely walk around an equine, and how to hold a lead rope properly.

  2. Basic Horse Care Demonstration

    In this demonstration you will learn how to properly care for a horse. From learning how to properly halter and lead a horse. Proper feeding and watering protocols. How to groom a horse and the importance of it. The reason horses have Grazing Muzzles and Turnout Blankets, as well as the importance of both these items. You will also learn the importance of why a horse needs to be dewormed regularly, have their hooves trimmed regularly, and vetted. You will be given a spreadsheet on the average cost of owning one horse per year.

  3. Beginner Horse Care Course

    In this course, you will be hands on in the lesson. We will have you demonstrate what you learned in the Basic Horse Care Demonstration course. Don’t worry we will be right there beside you to help guide you and answer any questions you have along the way.

    After you have completed all the task learned in the Basic Horse Care Demonstration, we will give you a demonstration on how to properly tack up a horse and what each piece of equipment is called and used for. Please note we currently only have Western Riding Equipment.
