Meet the Team
These are just some of the team that helps make Boogie Along Farm & Rescue run smoothly.
These team members are 100% volunteer, they give us so much more than sweat and their time.
They are always one phone call away when an emergency arises as well.
Jessica Russell
Owner and Founder of Boogie Along Farm & Rescue.
Jessica has rescued animals since she was little, following in her mom’s footsteps of opening her heart and home to any animal in need. Whether they were the cutest or not, whether they had medical issues or not, they all deserved to be safe and loved.
Jessica rescued her first horse just six months into horse ownership back in June of 2013. After that rescue the vision of Boogie Along Farm & Rescue came to her, and she knew what she needed to start a rescue geared towards equines, especially those headed for slaughter.
Saving those without a voice, those who need a second chance made for them.
Erica Cogburn
Volunteer
Erica started volunteering from the beginning of Boogie Along Farm & Rescue. While Erica never plans on owning a horse of her own, she loves being around the horses and helping with farm chores or farm projects. She finds volunteering with the horses rewarding, allowing her to help in our mission to be a voice for those who are voiceless.
Lindsey Barmoy
Volunteer
Lindsey started volunteering at Boogie Along Farm & Rescue to have the opportunity to spend time around different horses from all backgrounds. She was able to learn about horses and how to fully care for one while working with the horses at BAFR. Lindsey's dream when she started at BAFR was to have her own horse one day, and after several years around horses from different walks of life and learning the basics of what horse ownership would be like, she started her journey to fulfill her dream and she found her heart horse Bear, a beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse gelding.
