Chief, Gelding
Spotted Saddle Horse
DOB October 1999
Age 25
Adoption Fee: Waived to approved adopter
Photo Taken: February 2nd, 2025
Chief’s owner passed away July 2024 and the family is selling the farm soon and has reached out to BAFR to help with finding him a home to live his life out at. Chief was seen by the vet October 2024 and has a current negative coggins, the vet said he was healthy, but wouldn’t hurt him to gain a few pounds. Chief was a rescue prior to coming to the farm and was broke to ride but hasn’t been ridden in 6+ years. Farrier trimmed his hooves January 2025. Chief is still located on the farm and is being taken care of by family while a home can be found.
The vet has recommended Chief stay with his pasture friend Chaco since they have been pasture mates their entire lives, so we are requiring they stay together. You must be able to adopt both horses and keep both horses. If you have to return one they both have to be returned.
If you believe you are a good fit for Chief please download our adoption application and email it back to us at Contact@boogiealongfarm.org
Must be able to provide transport or pay transport fee. Transport company must be approved by BAFR if you are not picking up in person.

Peppa was bought by a local family who was told she was a “micro mini” pig, and she grew up. The family loves her, but wants what is best for her and that is a yard to be a pig. She has been raised indoors since they brought her home at 1 month old. She is super friendly and knows her name.
